Commodore(Rtd) Muhammad Lawal Barau MON mni Ph.D

FOUNDER/PROPRIETOR

Commodore(Rtd) Muhammad Lawal Barau MON mni Ph.D grew up in the ancient city of Zaria which is a citadel of learning from antiquity to the present. He is an astute, consummate, and outstanding Military strategist, Academician, and scholar par excellence. An intellectual who has consistently and tenaciously contributed his services to the development of society by empowering his people both socially and economically.

Commodore(Rtd) Barau MON mni Ph.D is a Patriot, community leader, and philanthropist who has always helped the needy and the downtrodden by providing vital services to the communities in which he interacts; he provides vital essentials as portable water, healthcare, hospitality services, financial assistance to the needy, and provision of scholarships, etc. Commodore(Rtd) Barau MON mni Ph.D is a seasoned Administrator, Diplomat, Philanthropist, Security Specialist, and Analyst. He is married with children.

Mallam Muhammad Munir Ja’afaru OFR, mni,LLB,BL,LLM

(Madakin Zazzau)

CHANCELLOR

Mallam Munir Ja’afaru was born into the royal family of an Islamic Scholar and the 17th Emir of Zazzau, Mallam Ja’afaru Dan Isiyaku, on March 25th, 1956, in Zaria. He Obtained his early Islamic and Western Education at Anchau Takalafia Primary School in the present day Kubau Local Government Area from 1962-1968, Government Secondary School Zaria 1969-1973, College of Arts and Science Zaria 1974-1976, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (LL.B) 1976-1979, Master of Law (Ll.M)ABU, Zaria, 1983 Nigerian Law School Lagos (BL) 1979-1980 and Call to the Nigerian Bar in 1980. He also attended the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies, NIPSS, Kuru Jos, where he bagged the Membership of the National Institute (mni) in 1991.

Captain Abubakar Sadiq Barau Ph.D

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Abubakar Sadiq Barau is from Zaria, Nigeria, a city renowned for its rich educational and cultural heritage. Growing up this environment instilled in him a strong commitment to knowledge and excellence. His interest in aviation and has significantly influenced his education, leading him to obtain a B.Sc. in Aviation Management with Flight from the Florida Institute Technology, a Master’s in Organizational Management (Leadership) from the University of Arizona Global Campus, and a Ph.D. in Management. Additionally, Abubakar is FAA-certified Commercial Pilot, possessing extensive training in and leadership from the United States.

Dr. Aminu Bello

PROVOST

Dr. Aminu Bello, born on October 10, 1972, is an accomplished nurse, educator, and administrator with decades of experience in nursing education and healthcare leadership. He is a Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Nephrology Nurse (RNNP), Registered Nurse Tutor (RT), Family Planning Provider Nurse, and Infection Control Nurse.

He holds a BNSc, MSc in Nursing Sciences, MPH, a Ph.D., and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Nursing Sciences. A former Board Member of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (2020–2023), Dr. Bello also served as Chairman of the Registration Committee, Member of the Education Committee, and Zonal Coordinator of MCPDP for Zamfara and Katsina States.

In academia, he serves as a Guest Lecturer at Federal University Dutsinma, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria (DLC), and Maryam Abacha American University, Maradi, among others. He has supervised over 300 undergraduate and 45 postgraduate research projects, as well as one Ph.D. graduate.

Dr. Bello is also the Chairman, Board of Trustees of Bawo College of Nursing Sciences, Daura, and the former National Chairman (2015–2023) of the Forum of Heads of Nursing Institutions in Nigeria.

As Provost of Muh’d Ibn El-Barau College of Nursing Sciences, Zaria, Dr. Aminu Bello leads with excellence, integrity, and a deep commitment to advancing nursing education and healthcare in Nigeria.

Abubakar Umar Garba

COLLAGE REGISTRAR

Abubakar Umar Garba is the Registrar of Muh’d Ibn El-Barau College of Nursing Sciences, Zaria. Born and raised in Zaria, a city known for its rich educational heritage, he developed a strong passion for learning, discipline, and service from an early age.

He began his education at Therbow School, Zaria, and continued at Zaria Academy for his secondary studies. He later attended the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), where he built a foundation of leadership and discipline.

Abubakar holds a B.Sc. in Sociology from Al-Qalam University, Katsina, and a Master’s Degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy (MAID) from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria.

As Registrar, he oversees academic administration, records, and institutional governance with professionalism and integrity. Known for his dedication, humility, and commitment to youth and education, Abubakar Umar Garba exemplifies excellence and service in leadership.
